“Mono no aware” – the profound appreciation of the beauty in fleeting moments holds true to the Monos ethos
Travel accessories and luggage brand Monos believes that exploration is the key to growth, learning and relaxation. Their collection of premium travel cases are for mindful wanders. On Ossington Avenue, this point of view has been integrated into every nook and cranny of the brand’s second retail location in Canada. Designed in collaboration with established interior and concept design studio Ste Marie, the shop’s interior is influenced by a gentle surrealist interpretation of Portugal’s pousadas, evoking a dreamlike quality through its soft, sweeping forms and carefully curated material palette.
“At Monos, we pride ourselves on connecting humanity with the simplicity of nature through our design ethos. Our collaboration with Ste Marie to transform the Ossington store into an immersive space is truly special,” says Hubert Chan, Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder at Monos.
Rooted in a belief that less is more, Monos’ simple designs speak for themselves—understated statement pieces. Its luggage and carrying accessories suit travellers unique needs with customizations options, whether alphabet stickers or luggage tags.
Featuring lightweight carry-ons for travel, polycarbonate shells that are dent-resistant, telescopic handles and 360º spinner wheels, their check-in, carry-ons, and trunks are reliable travel partners. The inside is lined with recycled polyester that is sturdy, water–resistant and anti–microbial while still remaining soft to the touch.
The carefully curated palette inside Monos’ Ossington store draws inspiration from the neighborhood. Explore the brand’s first Toronto location and shop its collection of premium quality travel goods in person for the ultimate travel companion.
